About
By community, for community
The first of its kind, Soul Lane Sessions; known for bringing together the best of Melbourne’s live artists in jazz, soul, R&B and hip-hop for improvised live jams partners with Melbourne Outrageous Theatre House (MOTH); a circus & neo-contemporary dance crew to bring you a day and evening feast of live creative artistry, improvisation & collaboration.
Recognising the abundance of talent that walks among us, and the difficulties artists face in having a space to showcase this, Soul Lane X MOTH is born from artists, for artists. We invite local musicians & performers to share the stage, creating unique, spontaneous, connected creative explosions
Artists at any stage of their journey, well established or up and coming are invited to come down and create magic with live improvised jams from 2PM hosted by the enigmatic Shantael Rapheal which will trickle into house & funk DJs for the evening vibes.
What’s particularly unique about this collaboration is that live performance artists will be joining the jam; some showcasing their skills for the first time, including performance features from MOTH artists.
On Sunday 8th November, we invite you to pull up with your family, friends, and loved ones to experience a day of local artistry, improvised music and performance, collaboration, and meaningful connection.
We’re building something special, and this is only the beginning. Come be part of the movement.
